Please join us for the Monthly Meeting of the AR Association of Energy Engineers.  We will enjoy a catered lunch from 11am-12noon and then hold our meeting from 12-1pm.

If you have never heard Bruce McMath speak on this topic before you are truly missing out.  And for those that have attended his presentations, there will be new information! If there is anyone within your organization or social circle that you feel would benefit from this meeting, please forward this announcement to them.

Bruce McMath is retired from private practice law with McMath Woods P.A. in Little Rock, AR.  He has served in executive and board capacities with a number of state level professional, environmental and civic organizations.  He currently is Chair of the Arkansas Natural Sky Association, an affiliate of the International Dark Sky Association.

For five billion years the earth and its inhabitants evolved in a day night cycle.  Only a few generations ago the invention of the electric light bulb began a process that would alter that natural cycle over a growing portion of the globe.  Viewed as only a good thing in the beginning, of late it has become increasing apparent that there are many consequences to turning night into day, for the environment and our health.  McMath will capsulize the emerging concerns, and the strategies that would allow us to have the benefits of artificial light in our cities while minimizing biological and environmental impacts, as well as the challenges and progress being made in this area by the Arkansas Natural Sky Association, which he chairs.

We look forward to seeing you Wednesday, January 16th at Harrison Energy Partners.  Lunch will be provided.
