Course Goals:
-- To provide training to participants who want to gain a better understanding of HVAC design essentials, equipment and system applications to increase energy savings. 
-- To provide training on proven techniques to monitor, track, and reduce
energy usage in public and commercial buildings.

Instructor:  Don Brandt CEM

This course is  based on the ASHRAE HVAC Essentials and Design course.  Join ASHRAE and AEE certified instructor, Don Brandt, as he returns to Arkansas to bring this new course information to our state enabling our workforce.  

ASHRAE Standards Covered

  • Std 55; 62.1; 90.1; 189.1

Topics covered:  
1) Types of HVAC Systems, Common Applications and Selection
2) Heating and Cooling loads
3) HVAC Equipment Sizing, Duct Design and Fan selection
4) Energy Modeling and Efficiency - System Improvements
5) Overview of ASHRAE Stds 55, 62.1, 90.1, and 189.

Program Objectives:

Energy Efficiency Arkansas is focused on providing continuing education in the area of energy conservation.  This particular training is for all skilled workers who can positively impact the conservation of energy and natural resources in buildings throughout our state.
